Ingredients for Homemade Basil Pesto with Walnuts

Basil Walnuts Garlic Parmesan Cheese Salt and Pepper Lemon Juice Olive Oil

Pulse together the pesto ingredients.

Add all the ingredients to a food a processor except for the olive oil and lemon juice. Pulse it together to form a paste like consistency.

Stream in the lemon juice and olive oil.

With the food processor running on low speed, stream in the lemon juice first followed by the olive oil. Scrape down the sides and turn the food processor back on low.

Keep adding oil to the pesto.

If needed, stream more olive oil into the lemon pesto sauce until it reaches a consistency that is thin enough to coat pasta.
