There is nothing better smelling than the scent of warm spiced apples wafting through the house.

It screams fall, holidays, and coziness.

And let me tell you I am so here for it.

Unfortunately making fried apples on the stove is great if all your burners aren’t in use, as mine often are during the holidays.

But with the air fryer, you can enjoy the classic taste of fried apples without using a burner on the stove and without all the butter that goes into the stove top version.

How’s that for a happy thing?

  • Apples- Use a firm, tart apple like Granny Smiths.
  • Butter– melted butter, divided
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Brown sugar

How to Make Air Fryer Apples

1. Slice the apples.

Slice the apples into slices. Do not dice them.

Cut the apples into even sized slices, discarding the cores.

2. Toss with melted butter and cinnamon.

Melt 1 and half tablespoons of butter. Pour the melted butter and the cinnamon over the apples. Toss them to coat.

3. Air fry the apples.

Add the apples to the basket of the air fryer, spreading them out. Air fry the apples at 380 degrees for 10 minutes or until the apples are tender.

4. Toss the apples with brown sugar.

When the apples are tender, remove them from the air fryer and toss them with brown sugar. Serve and enjoy!

You have options!

Instead of sugar, you could toss them with 3 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey.

You could also use your favorite sugar free sweetener.

Are air fried apples healthy?

Well, they are a lighter version of fried apples, but they do still have butter and sugar but not as much. If you want, you could use a sugar free sweetener like Truvia or Swerve instead of the brown sugar and spray the apples with melted butter before cooking to make them even lighter.

  • Make sure to use a firm apple like Granny Smith or even Honey Crisp. You want to avoid softer apples like Red Delicious. They will fall apart.
  • Do you like your apples to have a bit more crunch to them? Then reduce the cook time by 2 minutes.
  • No need to peel the apples unless you want to! We leave it on.
  • Feel free to adjust the sugar to suit your tastes.

  • 6 apples sliced core and seeds removed
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter divided
  • 2 teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons of light Brown sugar

Instructions

  • Cut the apples into even slices, removing the cores and seeds.
  • M๏ปฟelt 1 and a half tablespoons of butter.
