To make these holiday mimosas you’ll need:

  • Juice- Both orange juice and cranberry juice. While you can use orange juice with pulp, I highly recommend using no pulp for the prettiest results.
  • Bubbly- Sparkling white wine, champagne, or prosecco.
  • Garnish- Optional garnishes include extra cranberries, orange slices, sprigs of rosemary.

You don’t need much in the way of kitchen supplies and tools for these just:

Pour bubbly into the pitcher if making them for a group and pour into glasses.

Storing Leftovers

I don’t recommend planning for leftover Christmas mimosas.

The champagne will go flat if stored for too long.

FAQs

What is the best type of champagne to use for mimosas?

Not actually champagne! Champagne is a very specific type of wine grown in the Champagne region of France. It’s very expensive! Go for a sparkling white wine like Prosecco or another sparkling white wine. Most people prefer dry white wine to balance out the sweetness in the juice, but you could use whatever you like.u003cbru003e

Are mimosas meant for breakfast?

You bet! What better way to celebrate a morning occasion than with a cocktail made of orange juice (and cranberry juice in this case) and bubbly white wine?

  • This recipe makes 6 to 8 mimosas depending on your pour of course. If you aren’t having a group or won’t be drinking that much you could make individual mimosas by adding equal amounts of orange juice and cranberry juice to a glass and then topping it with champagne equal to the amounts of both juices.
  • Make sure the juice and wine are nice and chilled before you make everything!
  • Buy an extra bottle of champagne and pour a little bit extra into each glass after you serve the mimosas for a little extra bubble action.
