Do you miss going for coffee as much as I do? Honestly, I’m doing pretty good with the whole quarantine thing minus missing bottomless fries at Red Robin’s, long strolls through Target, and hitting up the local outdoor shopping area to let my kids play at the trains at Barnes and Noble or by the outdoor fountains. Both Target and the local outdoor shopping areas have convenient access to Starbucks. Which in the warmer weather means semi regular frappuccinos.
Instead of crying over my coffee, which I absolutely refuse to do unless I spill it or it runs out, I’ve made my own delish chocolatey frappuccino treat that’s way better than any I could get in Starbucks.
Say hello to a Nutella Frappuccino! So good and so perfectly right. Makes it a little easier to deal with not going for coffee on the regular.
Ingredients for a Nutella Frappuccino
You don’t need much for this easy frozen coffee recipe. To make it you’ll need:
- Brewed coffee. Use your favorite kind of coffee and make sure it’s cold.
- Cream or half and half. Or your favorite plant based milk. Just something to up the creamy factor.
- Ice cubes. Don’t water your frozen coffee down with regular ice. Nope. Use coffee ice cubes. Just pour some cool coffee in ice cube trays and freeze.
- Sugar or sweetener. This is an optional ingredient but you might want more sweetness then the Nutella provides. Just add enough to make it sweet enough for you.
- Nutella. I mean you can’t have a Nutella frappuccino without Nutella.
- Toppings. For a real coffee shop style experience, you need to top these fraps off with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Obviously.
How to Make Nutella Frappuccinos
To make these easy chocolate hazelnut frappuccinos, you just put everything into a blender and blend it up until smooth. I will say, a good blender is a must if you intend to make a lot of smoothies, frappuccinos or frozen cocktails. I love my Ninja. It was a little pricey but blends things much more uniformly than a cheapy blender so you don’t get the weird chunks of ice and separation.
Once everything is blended, just pour the frappuccinos into a mug that you’ve drizzled a little extra chocolate into. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate and enjoy!

If you are anything like me, you probably have a certain way you like to order your favorite drinks. I’m looking at you extra shot of chai in my latte with all milk, no water. This Nutella frappuccino is done to my tastes. But, if you prefer it more or less Nutella-y or with more or less milk or cream, make those adjustments. You do you.
