Ingredients for Candied Orange Slices

Oranges Water Sugar

Thinly slice the oranges.

Slice the oranges into thin wheels.

Simmer the slices in sugar and water.

Dissolve sugar in boiling water, reduce heat, and then simmer the orange slices in the simple syrup.

Prepare to bake.

Carefully remove the oranges from water and place on a wire cooling rack or parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Remove from oven.

After about 2 hours, when the oranges turn slighty tacky, remove from oven.

Dip in sugar.

Optional: Dip both sides of each slice in a bowl of granulated sugar for a frosted look.

Serve and Enjoy!

Serve as is or use candied orange slices to decorate your drink or cake. You can also dip in chocolate.
