What I’m Wednesday 30

Welcome to the place where I share what I’m up to each week and a bit of my real life outside of the blog.

Doing

A lot of nothing. I am one with my couch and blankets. Perhaps I’ll pop my head out in 6 weeks when it is spring. I just can’t with this gray yuck we’ve been having. I don’t mind snow but this constant dreary rain has got to stop. Honestly… this is one of those weeks where I’m like holy cow I’m boring. And it’s true. The hibernation mode is strong. We’ve been doing lots of crafts and staying home a lot. And I’m ok with that.

Oh! And Goose and I did an impromptu at home spa day. She’s been bugging me to try my face masks and lotions so one night the two of us sat in the bathroom and put my green mud mask on each other and painted each other’s toe nails. It was exactly what I thought having a daughter would be like and so much fun. We made a promise to each other that if either one of us are cranky we’ll say face mask and go put the green goop on each other’s faces and then laugh at how silly we look.

Watching

We watched the “live action” Lion King the other day with the kids. Unpopular opinion alert: I don’t love the animated original. I know everyone says the Lion King was peak Disney but I kind of am meh towards it. And, I hated the live action one. Because it’s not live action. It’s CGI. Totally CGI. So….I guess I just don’t get it.

Also Nate and I have just about caught up on A Million Little Things. So many thoughts! First… Maggie is the most annoying tv character ever. Seriously loathe her. And I hate the direction the show is going with Gary right now. The Delilah Eddie kids thing is pretty interesting and I am pretty intrigued to see how that plays out.

I’m going to start Cheer on Netflix as my next thing to watch at the gym. I’ve heard good things.

Drinking

I made this white hot chocolate this week and it’s so good. It’s so thick and not overly sweet. Honestly I am not a white chocolate lover so I was surprised by how much I loved this drink. My daughter keeps asking me to make it and I’m all too happy to oblige.

Wanting to Try

Areal yoga or really any kind of areal fitness class. Has anyone ever done one? I am super curious. They look like tons of fun! I definitely want to do one this winter to break up my blahs a bit.

Running

I made my 5 mile goal last week. I was super proud of it. Reaching for between 5.5 and 6 miles this week and aiming to run an 8 mile run by the end of the month. Totally doable right?

That’s it for me this week! What are you up to? Leave me a comment and let me know!
