Welcome to the place where I share what I’m up to each week and a bit of my real life outside of the blog.

Doing

Acknowledging that I have no concept of what day of the week it is anymore. OPPS! It’s Thursday! Who knew?? Not me! I totally thought it was Wednesday. Soooooo there’s that. I am definitely in the quarantine black hole. How are you guys all doing? Does anyone else have no idea what day/month it is?

Also, we sort of had weird quarantine Easter. The bunny visited and hid eggs for the kids and left baskets. Instead of leaving tons of candy, because just what every parent wants is to be quarantined with two kids on massive sugar highs who can’t go play outside because it’s cold/stormy/rainy, the bunny left the kids a Super Mario Hot Wheels race track. Both of the kids love it. The dog? Not so much.

Reading

Just downloaded The Happily Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez. She wrote The Friend Zone and that was one of the books I loved the most this year so I’m really looking forward to reading this. I’ll report back.

Watching

Literally nothing new or exciting. We’ve been rewatching the MCU movies again in a different order. Ho hum.

Eating

Over Easter we spent the day making homemade lasagna and garlic knots, both from scratch. It was really satisfying and fun. And homemade pasta is awesomely yummy. I forgot just how good it is. Anyone interested in making your own pasta? Should I do a how to? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Also have been getting mileage out of variations of these Korean vegetable noodle bowls to use up the produce we have on hand.

And have made about 3 batches of my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe lately. Is there anything better than a cookie fresh out of the oven?

Feeling

Cooped up. It’s been cold and stormy here. That’s not awful but not being able to go outside with stir crazy littles is kind of hard especially since they both love their outside times. The baby ADORES bubbles and learned how to say bubbles. We set him up in a Pack N Play on the driveway while we blow bubbles at him and he stands up and tries to pop them and gets all excited and says BUB-BLES over and over again. It’s adorable.

Oh, I also wrote this piece about how I’m managing living with anxiety right now.

That’s it for me this week! What are you up to? How are you all holding up? Leave me a comment and let me know!
