What I’m Wednesday 65

Welcome to the place where I share what I’m up to each week and a bit of my real life outside of the blog.

So over the snow. We’ve had so much snow and more on the way tonight. Ugh, I’m done.

But we’re getting creative with our activities at home again. And no I am not on another puzzle kick.

This past week, we made bird feeders as a homeschool activity with my daughter and it was a lot of fun. We’ve also been doing some cute Valentine’s Day worksheets and some Valentine’s Day crafts too. We’ll make these chocolate hearts on Sunday so that we’re doing something to celebrate the day.

Watching

I’m watching Firefly Lane on Netflix and I’m currently undecided on how I feel about it.

Firefly Lane is one of my favorite books ever and I’m not sure the series does it justice, but I am only 2 episodes in so I’ll see. Also, I definitely pictured Tully differently when I read the book, but that’s just me.

Are you watching it? Thoughts?

Also, pretty excited for the next installment of To All the Boys.

Reading

I’ve been tearing through this list of romcoms that should be made into movies. This week I read The Royal Treatment by Melanie Summers. I loved it so much I immediately downloaded and read the next book in the series, The Royal Wedding. Now I am onto (you guessed it) The Royal Delivery.

These books are so ridiculously fun that I am going to be really sad when I am done with them all. The Royal treatment follows an accident prone blogger named Tessa who runs a popular anti royal website in the country of Aldovia, which apparently exists in the same world as Genovia from The Princess Diaries.

The monarchy is in trouble with public opinion plummeting and the prime minister attempting to rid the Aldovians of the crown once and for all. Prince Arthur, who is- of course- very buff and handsome, gets the idea that if he can win over the monarchy’s biggest critic, Tessa, he can sway public opinion ahead of the prime minister’s vote. In order to do this, he invites Tessa to move into the palace for 2 months and gives her access to all things royal family. Of course, Tessa learns that she was wrong about Arthur and the enemies to lovers romance that happens is such a sweet, funny modern fairy tale that I highly recommend.

Eating

Soup! We’ve been enjoying this Instant Pot vegetable beef soup and of course for Super Bowl (not that we watched) we made some buffalo cauliflower and loaded sweet potato fries. Yum!

That’s it from me this week! What are you up to? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
