Sparkling Caramel Apple Screwdrivers
Move over orange juice! The brunch drinks of choice this fall are these sparkling caramel apple screwdrivers. With only 2 ingredients, this fall brunch cocktail is an easy way to step up your brunch entertaining this season. Perfect Thanksgiving cocktail!
There are some classic fall flavor combos. Pumpkin and spices obviously, but let’s not forget caramel apple. Good caramel apples are one of my absolute fall favorites. And no, I’m not talking about candy apples but delicious caramel apples. So good. So why not enjoy those flavors in the easiest ever fall cocktail? A sparkling caramel apple screwdriver. Oh yes! This is one of the yummiest drinks I have ever made and probably my current fall favorite. I know. I say that about everything. But really, this cocktail recipe tastes exactly like a caramel apple but in grown up drink form. Oh yes.
What is a screwdriver?
Pretty much everyone is familiar with the classic brunch drink: mimosas, which are just orange juice and champagne. Screwdrivers are similar to mimosas because classic screwdrivers use orange juice but mix it with vodka. I love taking the classic mimosa combination of champagne and orange juice and changing it up with different flavors like these blood orange mimosas or different textures and flavors like these frozen pineapple mimosas. Both so good. So why not do the same and make a variation on a screwdriver, perfect for fall!
Sparkling Caramel Apple Screwdrivers
This screwdriver variation replaces the orange juice in classic screwdrivers with sparkling apple cider. You know, the kind sold in a wine bottle that you may have had at special occasions when you were a kid and too young to drink bubbly? No? Just me? If you prefer to keep your drinks flat instead of fizzy, you could always use regular apple cider instead of sparkling cider. No sweat. But I do highly recommend the sparkling cider for the added fancy feeling. Next up? The vodka! Skip the unflavored vodka and go for a caramel vodka. You will be so glad you did! It will make these caramel apple screwdrivers taste like candy. So delicious! Plus, you can use caramel vodka in so many other drinks too. It would be a fantastic way to turn my salted caramel hot chocolate into an adult beverage. You could also use it for these caramel apple Moscow mules. It would also be delicious in place of regular vodka in white Russians.
An Easy Fall Drink!
To make a caramel apple screwdriver you only need three ingredients:
- caramel topping
- sparkling cider
- caramel vodka
That’s it! It’s almost embarrassing to even call this a recipe because it’s so easy. When you make it just rim your glass in caramel and if you feel fancy roll it in brown sugar for a little extra sparkle. Then add 2 ounces of caramel vodka and 4 ounces of sparkling cider. Then serve and enjoy! That’s it.
