Ingredients
2mediumtart apples
1teaspooncinnamon powder
1/2stickof butter
1packageof Pillsbury Grand Cinnamon MuffinsYou could use your favorite brand.
Instructions
Wash and slice two medium sized apples into very small pieces. Peel before hand if you like.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Toss in the diced apples and top with the cinnamon powder. Stir to combine.
Cook the apples for about 3 to 5 minutes or until they start to sweat. Remove from heat.
Allow the apples to cool to the point where you can safely touch them. Preheat your oven to 350 or the indicated temperature on the package.
As the apples cool, gently separate the layers of the cinnamon buns and arrange them in a non-stick or sprayed round pan.
Gently press the apples into the top of each cinnamon bun. You will likely have extra.
Place the stuffed cinnamon buns in the oven and bake for about 25 to 27 minutes. This may vary some. They are ready when the outsides start to brown up.
Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes before pouring the provided cream topping over each muffin.
