Ingredients

  • 2 peaches
  • 12 ounces white wine
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 cup peach simple syrup
  • 1 can Sprite

For Peach Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 peach

Instructions

  • If you make your own peach simple syrup, combine one cup of sugar with one cup of water in a small sauce pan set over medium low heat.
  • Bring to simmer and stir until all the sugar dissolves.
  • Add in peeled and diced peaches once the sugar dissolves.
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes and then use a strainer to remove the peaches and collect the syrup.
  • Allow the syrup to come to room temperature before making the sangria.
  • Wash and cut your peaches into slices, removing any bruised areas.
  • Place the peaches in your pitcher and then pour in the wine, peach simple syrup, and white rum.
  • Mix it quickly and then let rest for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • When serving, pour glasses about 2/3s to 3/4s full and then top off with Sprite.
