Equipment

  • 1 knife
  • 1 pair of tongs or spoon
  • 1 cookie sheet
  • 1 Large mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 ounces broccoli
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • As the oven heats, cut any larger broccoli florets in half or quarters to make roughly uniform sized florets.
  • Toss the broccoli with olive oil, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. If adding parmesan cheese, add it now.
  • Spread the broccoli out on a prepared cookie sheet, preferably spraying with non-cook spray. Make sure to leave some space between florets.
  • Place the broccoli florets in the oven and roast for 20 to 25 minutes or until the florets begin to brown and the stems soften.
  • Serve with your favorite main dishes and other sides.
