  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (canola oil or vegetable oil works too)
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder or flakes
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (we use the juice of half a lime)

Instructions

  • Pour the olive oil into a medium skillet and heat over medium.
  • Add in the chicken and use a spatula to break the meat into smaller pieces.
  • Dump in the water and seasonings and mix around to evenly coat the chicken.
  • Cook the ground chicken taco meat for about 10 minutes or until all the pieces have turned white and cooked through. You will also see some of the pieces starting to turn a golden brown under the red chili powder.
  • Turn of the heat and squeeze in either half or a full lim and mix around. You can skip this if you like.
  • Serve in tacos, quesadillas, taco salads, or any other way you like to use taco meat.
