Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of raspberries

Instructions

  • Whisk the sugar and water together in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Keep whisking and cooking until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the raspberries and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Let the mixture simmer, stirring with a sturdy wooden spoon to help break up the raspberries, until the raspberries are all broken apart.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Strain the raspberry syrup over a mesh strainer set over a jar or container. Press the spoon against the raspberry pulp to release as much of the liquid as possible.
  • Seal the jar or container and refrigerate.
  • Use in your favorite drinks or baked goods. Enjoy!

Notes

Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
