The Best Burrata Caprese Salad (Burrata with Caprese)

Burrata caprese salad takes the classic flavors of the tomato, mozzarella, and basil combination and turns it up a notch with decadent burrata cheese. This easy variation of caprese with burrata makes for an effortlessly elegant dinner or appetizer anytime.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint of cherry tomatoes halved
  • 8 ounces of burrata cheese
  • 1 cup of fresh basil

For the dressing

  • 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbs honey

Instructions

  • Rinse the tomatoes and cut them in half legnthwise,
  • Assemble the salad by laying the cut down on a platter or in a bowl.
  • Top the cut tomatoes with burrata balls and fresh basil. Season with salt and pepper if desired to taste.
  • Set the salad aside and make the balsamic glaze.
  • To make the balsamic glaze, whisk the the honey and balsamic together in a small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until the glaze thickens and reduces down by a third. It should take about 5 minutes. Stir the entire time.
  • When the glaze is done, drizzle over the salad and enjoy.
