BBQ Burgers

Easy, fast BBQ burgers make a perfect weeknight meal for anyone who wants the taste of fresh burgers even when you are super busy.

Equipment

  • 1 grill pan
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (more or less as desired)
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese (you can use your preferred variety)
  • 1/2 cup fried onions
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  • Split your beef into roughly 1/4 to 1/3 pound balls. Form each ball into patties that are about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
  • Sprinkle the tops and bottoms with burger seasoning.
  • Heat your grill pan over medium to medium high heat.
  • Place the patties on the preheated grill pan and cook each side for at least 2 minutes (rare) to about 4 minutes (well-done).
  • Turn off the heat, pour the BBQ sauce over each patty, top with onion straws, and one to two slices of cheddar cheese.
  • Place a lid over top of the burgers and allow the cheese to melt for 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Plate the burgers on buns and serve with your favorite sides and any other toppings, like bacon.
