- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (more or less as desired)
- 8 slices cheddar cheese (you can use your preferred variety)
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 4 burger buns
Split your beef into roughly 1/4 to 1/3 pound balls. Form each ball into patties that are about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
Sprinkle the tops and bottoms with burger seasoning.
Heat your grill pan over medium to medium high heat.
Place the patties on the preheated grill pan and cook each side for at least 2 minutes (rare) to about 4 minutes (well-done).
Turn off the heat, pour the BBQ sauce over each patty, top with onion straws, and one to two slices of cheddar cheese.
Place a lid over top of the burgers and allow the cheese to melt for 1 to 3 minutes.
Plate the burgers on buns and serve with your favorite sides and any other toppings, like bacon.
