Equipment

  • 1 microwave safe bowl
  • 1 cookie sheet or cooling rack
  • 1 sheet parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 30 hard pretzels (this is approximate)
  • 1 12 ounce package white chocolate chips or orange candy melts
  • 2-3 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1 package candy eyes or faces

Instructions

  • Pour the chocolate into a medium sized bowl.
  • Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir.
  • Repeat this step until the chocolate has fully melted.
  • Mix in about 2 to 3 teaspoons of coconut oil. You want the chocolate to be smooth but not too runny.
  • Dip your pretzels in one at a time and place on the parchment paper lined tray.
  • Work quickly, covering the tops of each pretzel.
  • While the chocolate is still melted, gently push the faces, eyes, or other candy into the chocolate covered pretzels.
  • Allow the pretzels to fully set before serving or storing.

Notes

To make the mummy pretzels, dip them in groups of 6 or so. Then press the eyeballs into those 6. Drizzle the pretzels with the eyeballs with more melted white chocolate to make bandages.
To make the monster pretzels work in groups of 3-4, dipping and then immediately decorating the faces.
