Mushroom Burger Recipe

- 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1/8 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
- 4-8 slices swiss cheese
- 4 burger buns
Wash and slice your mushrooms into roughly even slices.
Mix your ground beef with burger seasoning and form into 4 roughly evenly sized burger patties.
Heat a grill pan over medium high heat and place the burgers on the pan.
Cook each side for about 4 to 5 minutes or to desired doneness.
In a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Crush or mince the garlic and saute for about 1 to 2 minutes or until it becomes fragrant.
Add in the mushrooms, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and white wine.
Stirring frequently, saute the mushrooms until they have shrunk in size and have a dark brown glaze over them.
Remove burgers and mushrooms from heat and then carefully scoop the mushroooms over top of each burger.
Next, add one to two slices of swiss cheese to each burger and place a lid over top of the skillet.
Once the cheese melts, carefully remove the burgers from the pan and add serve them in your burger buns.
